1up.com did a cool story on this song and it actually sounds a lot like Robo's theme from Chrono Trigger. Not bad though, I know a lot of people don't like midi, but I'm always a sucker for a good 8 bit tune.

Brings back memories of playing the game on my old systems. I see you went with Genesis version of the track. Good choice. While not my favorite in the sonic series, 3D Blast definitely had some awesome tracks. And you did a fine job of remixing this version of Rusty Ruin.

Sounds like something DragonForce would do if they were thrown into a power blender with the original Golden Axe. I think it's the guitar rifts that give me that impression. Great work. This track was one of my favorites when I used to play the game on the Genesis, and still play it on my PS2 via the Sega Classics Collection.

yeah, that's a new term, I came up with it.
Anyway, I love the new remix. That was probably one of my favorite tracks in X3. It's great to see somebody take the theme and really do it justice by giving it a more appropriate techno/trance/rave mix. Great work.
